Dr. Jamel McDuffie

Dr. Jamel McDuffie is a native of Durham, NC. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Howard University in Washington, DC.

Dr. McDuffie completed an externship at Harlem Hospital in New York City, NY and a General Practice Residency at the VA hospital in Palo Alto, CA. She served as dentist in a few offices in Cary, NC and at a medical/dental facility in Roxboro, NC. She also served as Dental Director at a medical/dental in Warrenton, NC. Currently, Dr. McDuffie operates her own private practice in Durham, NC.

Dr. McDuffie completed additional training in Implantology and Orthodontics. She remains at the forefront of dental technology and quality care through extensive continuing education.

She is an active member of the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Durham Academy of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy, American Orthodontic Society, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Tina Subherwal

Dr. Tina Subherwal is originally from Seattle, WA. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Southern California. Dr. Subherwal enjoys providing quality, comprehensive and compassionate dental care to all of her patients. She has completed extensive implant training and has earned the status of Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Subherwal loves helping patients achieve maximal function and aesthetics with dental implants. She relishes working with people and cherishes the friendships that she develops with her patients and coworkers. In her spare time, Dr. Subherwal is fond of spending time with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy picnics at the park, visits to museums, and occasional attempts at dinner out with a preschooler and a toddler.

Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm originally from Northern New Jersey. I love spending time with my two beautiful children and gardening. I am bilingual in english and spanish and have been with the office for more than six years. I am here and available to answer any of your questions!

Leanna Daniel - Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Leanna and I have been a dental assistant for over three years. In my spare time I enjoy wake-boarding, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family. Amy Cooper- Hygienist
Hi everyone! I'm Amy and I am one of the dental hygienists here at Dr. McDuffie's office. I am originally from Northeastern North Carolina, and graduated from Halifax Community College. I now live in the Brier Creek area and am enjoying all it has to offer. As a hygienist, I enjoy getting to know all of my patients, offering new tips, and making sure that all questions are answered at each dental visit.
